Registration period announced to apply for RHF scholarships

The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) announced yesterday that the online registration period for scholarships for its sponsored students who graduated in the academic year 2019/2020 will be from today to July 30.

RHF secretary-general Dr Mustafa Al Sayed said that, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who is also the RHF Honourary President, and with the support of HM the King’s Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs representative and RHF Board of Trustees chairman His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the RHF is keen to continue its educational care programmes for its sponsored students, including the provision of scholarships on an annual basis.

In this regard, RHF Social Care director Ali Qambar said that, based on the royal directives, the RHF allocates 50 scholarships every year, adding that 900 students in all have already benefited from the RHF’s scholarship programme.

He pointed out that the new academic year’s scholarships will be allocated to studying in the Kingdom, specifically at the University of Bahrain, Bahrain Polytechnic, and the College of Health Sciences, adding that admission will be based on the highest grades. Eligible students include RHF-sponsored graduates of 2019-2020, who have Grade Point Averages between 75 per cent and 89.99 per cent.

Also, they must have been accepted by one of the three aforementioned schools, and must not have obtained a scholarship from any other party. The RHF called on those wishing to receive its scholarships to register on its website rhf.gov.bh, fill in the form and attach coloured PDF copies of the required documents.
