Expat woman stabbed at hotel on Exhibition Road
Victim rushed to hospital; defendant arrested
An Arab woman sustained ghastly injuries after she was stabbed by a man at a hotel in the capital yesterday.
It is learned that the woman was rushed to a hospital after suffering serious injuries.
Sources said the 33-year-old victim is a national of one of the North African countries.
A few minutes before the incident, the woman was reportedly seen having an argument with the defendant.
Sources added that the woman was trying to exit the hotel when the defendant chased and stabbed her multiple times.
A video showing the attack is being circulated on social media, the sources added.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that a suspect was arrested following the incident.
"With reference to a circulated video, the CID identified a man suspected of stabbing an Arab woman, 33, who is in a stable condition. Steps are being taken for his arrest," the ministry stated yesterday.
According to reports, the woman is making a fast recovery and is in a stable condition
