Cabinet minister receives UNDP resident representative

Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohamed Ibrahim Al Mattawa received UN Development Program (UNDP)'s Resident Representative Stefano Pettinato in presence of Shaikh Hussam bin Isa Al Khalifa.

They discussed ongoing cooperation between the Kingdom and the UNDP's support to Bahrain's efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The minister praised the UNDP's assistance to developmental programs in various countries including Bahrain, stressing the Kingdom's keenness on boosting the cooperation with the UNDP to avail from its expertise for implementation of various developmental programs in the various regions of Bahrain.

Al Mattawa affirmed that the Government led by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister gives so much attention to develop the cooperation with the United Nations and its specialized programs in order to achieve developmental priorities pursued by Bahrain.

The UNDP resident representative took pride in the constantly growing cooperation between Bahrain and the UNDP. He commended the Government of Bahrain's facilitations that contributed to the program's success in undertaking its role of supporting SDGs initiatives and programs adopted by Bahrain.
