Many GCC and Arab countries informed condolences to Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday on the martyrdom of five Bahraini soldiers while performing their sacred national duty within the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to defend legitimacy in Yemen.
In a meeting at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Bahrain Shaikh Azzam Mubarak Al Sabah, Qatari Ambassador Shaikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Saud Al Thani, Omani Ambassador Abdullah bin Rashid bin Ali Al Medilwi, Egyptian Ambassador Essam Saleh Awad, Moroccan Ambassador Ahmed Rashid Khatabi and Iraqi Ambassador Dr. Ahmed Nayef Rashid Al-Delimi conveyed to Prince Khalifa the condolences of the leaders and Prime Ministers of their countries.
On the occasion, HRH Premier stressed Bahrain’s unwavering resolve to continue assuming its role, alongside its brethren countries, in defending the right and legitimacy and fighting for security and dignity of the Arab nation.
He reviewed with the Ambassadors the overall regional and international situation. HRH the Premier emphasised that dealing with the foreign interference in Yemen was the beginning of an Arab awakening led competently by Saudi Arabia.
He added that acting against threats to regional security would continue as the GCC and Arab countries would never stand as mere spectators before attempts to undermine security and stability of the Gulf region. He also urged to further boost Arab cooperation to deter attempts to destabilise the region.
