Step up safety campaigns

HRH the Crown Prince has directed the Interior Ministry to intensify awareness campaigns regarding the safe use of gas cylinders and electrical appliances to prevent accidents. This came as His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, yesterday chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at Gudaibiya Palace. HRH the Crown Prince further directed authorities concerned to strengthen inspections, ensuring gas cylinders are placed in designated areas outside homes, and electrical installations undergo regular installations.

In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince commissioned the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism to prepare guidelines for home and business owners in co-operation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Development and the Ministry of Health. HRH the Crown Prince further directed the Ministry of Health to prepare a comprehensive study on the status of Kingdom’s health centers, including working hours, in order to evaluate and ensure citizens’ access to adequate medical services and healthcare in different locations at all times.

The Cabinet then condemned the abhorrent terrorist attack that targeted a security checkpoint in El Arish, in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
