Government services catalogue launched

A 'service catalog' entailing details and information on more than 1,000 government services were launched yesterday. The catalog was launched by Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa - Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology on the national portal Bahrain.bh yesterday during the Bahrain International eGovernment Forum and IT Expo 2018.

According to IGA, the catalog is “a comprehensive central platform that manages and documents all information related to electronic and non-electronic government services”. Mohammed Al Qaeda, IGA Chief Executive Officer told Tribune that the IGA has been working on the catalog for the past three years.

“I am pleased to announce the launch of the service catalog. This is a result of work of more than three years. We developed this after a very comprehensive study. It is a catalog of almost 1,000 government services.

“It is not only for electronic services, it contains information all kinds of government services.It contains information such as a description of the service, what is required, the steps needed to be taken, prerequisites, time information etc,” he said.
