Man dupes investors of BD14,000
A 46-year-old Bahraini man allegedly deceived two citizens by highlighting an investment opportunity, conning them out of more than BD14,000, the High Criminal Court heard yesterday.
The defendant is said to have pocketed the money received from his victims, which was meant to be invested in the real estate sector. The first victim reported to police that the defendant embezzled BD7,000 from him, while the second victim said he was swindled out of BD7,250.
