Event focuses on Muharraq urban expansion
The Municipality of Muharraq hosted a ceremony in honour of the municipal council members and contributors marking the end of the fourth legislative term (2014-2018).
The Minister of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Essam Khalaf attended the event, which featured an exhibition showcasing 15 key projects under construction in the Governorate of Muharraq.
These include, in particular, Bahrain International Airport expansion, the 4th causeway linking Muharraq and Manama, Muharraq grand park, Muharraq central Market, Delmonia, East Hidd Housing Town, Sa’ada, Busaiteen Beachfront, Galali walkway, Busaiteen social centre, Muharraq Care Centre and other development scheme.
A documentary film was also shown during the ceremony, showcasing the massive urban development in the city of Muharraq in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
