Official Haj contractors announced
Manama : The Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments announced the official list of authorised Haj contractors. The High Committee for Haj and Umrah Affairs urged citizens and residents planning to perform the pilgrimage to register with an authorised contractor and read contracts thoroughly before undersigning it.
In a statement yesterday, the Ministry called upon pilgrims to verify their personal data with the Central Informatics and make sure that their passports are still valid for six months at least. The committee cautioned pilgrims against registering with unauthorised or fake Haj contractors, which would cost them financial losses and entangle them into judicial claims.
The committee warned that it would not accept any complaints filed by pilgrims who register with unlicensed Haj contractors, or those who do not sign agreements with haj contractors. It called upon people planning to perform the pilgrimage this year to inform the Haj contractors about their diseases and specify the health treatment they need.
