ISB celebrates Staff Club Day

The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) celebrated the annual Staff Club Day to give away long service awards to the staff and to bid farewell to the retiring staff members. The staff members who completed 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years of service in the school were honoured with a memento, certificate and a cash award. 

ISB Chairman Prince S Natarajan, Secretary Saji Antony, Vice Chairman Jayafar Maidani, EC Members Mohammad Khursheed Alam, Rajesh Nambiar, Ajaya Krishnan, Principal VR Palaniswamy, Riffa Campus Acting Principal Pamela Xavier, Staff Representative Johnson K Devassy, Vice Principals and staff club members attended the ceremony. Principal VR Palaniswamy who is also the staff club president welcomed the gathering. The vote of thanks was proposed by Staff Club General Secretary CM Junith. 

In his address ISB Chairman Prince S Natarajan said that the Staff Club Day celebration which is the culmination of the annual events of the ISB Staff Club will enrich the happy and cordial bonding among the staff members. ISB Secretary Saji Antony said that the staff club celebration will facilitate positive interaction between the teachers of various departments of the school. 

The following retiring staff members were given farewell: Sudhir Krishnan, Deepa Tom, Bindhu K K, Suni Koshy, Raji Swaminathan, Shabeena O M, Varghese P Tharian, Leo Rozario Leslie, Narayanan M, Mohammmed Ibadur Rahman Khan, Sujata Soni, Rashmi D Valawalkar, Krishnaveni Biju, Rajani Leo, and Nadia Moosa. 

Various cultural programmes by the staff also took place during the event.

The main objective of the ISB Staff Club is to enhance the mutual interactions among the staff members from both campuses and to provide an opportunity to display their artistic skills.
