Batelco, iGA in agreement for AWS migration
Manama : Batelco announced signing a deal with the Information and eGovernment Authority to implement the migration of a number of ministry platforms to the Amazon Web Services (AWS).
The agreement is in line with the iGA and Batelco’s commitment to support the Government in its digital transformation strategy for the Kingdom.
As per the deal, Batelco will migrate a number of ministries onto the AWS platform, which will benefit Batelco and government entities in the Kingdom by saving time and resources through a simplified, streamlined process, as well as reducing the burden of follow-ups, protection and maintenance of their servers.
Batelco Bahrain CEO Mohamed Bubashait said: “We are proud to work alongside the iGA as they continue to facilitate communications and services between government entities while offering technical and knowledge-based support to the ministries and other government entities.”
