2015-18 Government Action Plan reviewed

ManamaAs part of preparations for the final government workshop set to take place next month, government officials held a follow-up meeting yesterday during which the current Government Action Plan (2015 – 2018) was reviewed. The meeting was led by the Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa.

The Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Mohammed bin Ebrahim Al Mutawa, gave a detailed presentation outlining important initiatives within the current Government Action Plan (2015 – 2018) and associated achievements. 

Following the presentation, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the importance of continuing to build on these achievements to deliver opportunities for citizens. He also instructed government officials to put forward their final recommendations on key policies and initiatives identified during the series of workshops and coordination meetings held in recent months.

His Highness recognised the important role government officials play in driving forward national development and strengthening government efficiency to meet citizens’ aspirations.HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, had directed government officials during the 2017 Government Forum to lead a series of workshops to identify mechanisms and key priority areas for the government’s future goals.

The final workshop, which will also be led by the Deputy Prime Minister, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, is due to take place in April. Deputy Prime Minister, Jawad bin Salem Al Arrayed, ministers and other senior government officials attended the meeting.
