AMH opens clinic at Riffa

ManamaAmerican Mission Hospital (AMH) yesterday opened its new clinic at Riffa, expanding to meet the needs of the community.  The newly-opened medical and dental Centre is situated in the Callidus Center, opposite The Walk. The Center is the fourth facility of AMH with the main hospital situated in Manama along with satellite clinics both in Saar and Amwaj. 

The clinic was inaugurated by Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Health (SCH). Salah bin Hindi, Advisor for Youth & Sports to His Majesty the King, the American Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Justin Siberell and several others attended the inauguration. 

“We are pleased to be able to provide residents in the Central and Southern Governorate the highest quality medical services through this new facility,” said Dr George Cheriyan, CEO.

The new clinic will provide both General Services including Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Ophthalmology, ENT, Orthopedics, Dental, Radiology, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Dermatology and Plastic Surgery and Specialized Services will include Executive Clinic, Wellness Clinic, Physiotherapy, Pain Management, Sports Medicine, Osteopathy and also boasts an Olympic sized pool for hydrotherapy. The clinic will operate every day from 7:30 am to 11 pm.

“This clinic is uniquely different in that a considerable space has been allotted to wellness, Physiotherapy, rehab which includes a hydrotherapy pool. A sports medicine clinic, osteopathy and pain management are all part of this clinic. All other primary care and subspecialty services which include an Executive clinic and dental care are available under one roof,” he said.

“The clinic is fully IT enabled with laboratory and X-ray facilities linked to our hospital information systems with images and EMR’s shared across all our four facilities where radiologists at Manama can instantly report on images generated in any of our peripheral clinics. IT is built in to enhance patient-physician communication for follow up and home care follow up,” he said.
