Brave announces Umniah sponsorship

Manama : Brave Combat Federation has announced the latest sponsorship relation with the Jordan based telecommunications service provider, Umniah. 

Umniah has sponsored the first edition of the event in Jordan titled Brave 10: The Kingdom Rises which will be held at King Hussein Sports City in Amman Jordan on 2nd March. Umniah is an ardent supporter of sports in Jordan, with a longstanding track record of partnerships and initiatives in sports. Brave 10 will feature 24 athletes from 14 nations competing in Jordan. 

The partnership will pave the next step in popularising and supporting athletes from the region and to nurture their passion towards the sport. This also marks for the first time a major telecommunications servicer provider based in GCC is providing a major sponsorship deal with a sports media property. Mohammed Shahid, President of Brave Combat Federation had thanked by the support from Umniah and Ziad Shatara, CEO of Umniah. 

Umniah has supported sports and athletes in Jordan in multiple occasions. Umniah is a longtime sponsor of Mostafa Salameh, the first Jordanian and Arab to ever climb each of the seven summits and to conquer both the North and South poles, a feat he shares with only fifteen other people in the world. 

In 2016, Umniah partnered with Jordanian Olympic hero Ahmad Abu Ghosh, who has been appointed as the operator’s Youth and Sports Ambassador. Abu Ghosh has secured a gold medal at the Rio Olympic Games for Taekwondo, the country’s first-ever Olympic gold. 

Umniah is also a proud supporter of Jordanian football, with partnership agreements signed with the nation’s most popular sports clubs — Al Faisaly and Al Wehdat.

Brave Combat Federation welcomed the initiative from Umniah to support the vision of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa to bring Bahrain and Jordan closer in the avenue of sports. 

Brave Combat Federation is currently reaching out to 833 million households around the world in 84 nations. The latest sponsorship support and partnerships are expected to strengthen the economic and cultural impact through sports between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
