Child Forum opens in Bahrain

Manama : The 8th edition of the Children Forum opened today under the patronage of Good Word Society Honorary Chairman His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa. The opening ceremony was held at the Movenpick Hotel, in the presence of Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham bin Mohammed Al-Jowder, Bahrain Bayan School Chairperson Dr. Shaikha Mai Al-Otaibi, GCC guests, leading personalities, ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions.

Fifty children from the GCC member states and Yemen are taking part in the forum, being held under the theme: "We Learn Life by playing". The event, which runs until Friday, corresponding to the 26th of January, features workshops, field visits and concerts.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa opened the "Arab Exhibition" which attracted 11 states, showcasing the cultures and heritage features characterizing their respective countries. Addressing the opening ceremony, HH Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al-Khalifa stressed the importance of the forum, expressing delight at the presence of guests, ambassadors and other key participants. He paid tribute to the wise leadership for its keenness on developing Bahraini children as part of efforts to create new generations capable of shaping the future.
