Middle East Refining Technology Conference ends on a high note

Manama : The Middle East Refining Technology Conference (MERTC) concluded yesterday. 

The two-day conference was opened on Tuesday by Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil and & Chairman of Noga holding. Experts and companies from the oil sector around the world were part of the event. 

The event, in its second edition, was held at the Ritz Carlton Bahrain. It was organized by the World Refining Association in collaboration with the National Oil and Gas Authority and with the support of Gulf Downstream Association (GDA) and a number of oil companies.

A number of panel sessions were held and many renowned industry experts spoke. Yesterday’s speakers included Eithne Treanor, Managing Director, E Treanor Media, Zak Alzein, VP and General Manager Connected Performance Services, Honeywell UOP, Dr Claus-Peter Hälsig and VP Process & Technology, Fluor. 

An exhibition also ran parallel to the conference, with the participation of a number of national and international oil companies.
