Professionalism is the key to success, says HRH Crown Prince

Manama : His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister yesterday affirmed that the “rule of law, human rights and modern practices” must continue to underpin every aspect when it comes to protecting the country and its citizens.

Prince Salman was speaking during an award ceremony by the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) to honour the tenth class of candidate officers. 

“Professionalism remains a key component of Bahrain’s development success, driven by His Majesty King Hamad’s comprehensive development programme,” Prince Salman told the graduating officers.

His Royal Highness congratulated the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa on the graduation ceremony, noting Bahrain’s pride in the soldiers’ unwavering commitment and the sacrifices they continue to make to protect the country. 

Shaikh Rashid told the graduates that the Ministry is committed to continuing the advancement of capabilities and skill-sets through modern policing and law enforcement programmes.

“Advancing security capabilities remain a priority to meet current complex challenges,” the Interior Minister said extending his gratitude to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince for attending the graduation ceremony.

In this regard, the Minister also highlighted the role of His Majesty the King, His Royal Highness the Prime Minister and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince in supporting the Ministry of Interior and its objectives.

Earlier, upon his arrival at the function, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was welcomed by the Minister of Interior, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, and other senior officers from the Ministry of Interior.

The Chief of Public Security and Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Royal Academy of Police, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan highlighted the extensive training and development programmes undertaken by the graduating officers.

The Major-General outlined that modern training techniques inform every aspect of the Academy’s development programmes, which incorporate internationally recognised law enforcement and human rights best practises. 

Prior to the graduate officers’ commissioning parade, His Royal Highness inspected the officer-cadets’ parade, during which the officer cadets took their oath. Top achievers were honoured on the occasion. The Minister of Interior awarded commissioning certificates to the officer cadets.
