Bahraini boy died during surgery laid to rest
Manama : The Bahraini boy who passed away during a kidney transplant operation in France was laid to rest in his hometown Karzakkan village in the Northern Governorate yesterday.
DT News reported on Thursday that Jawad Sadiq, 4, passed away last week, around 15 days after his father donated his kidney to save his son’s life.
The boy suffered from a rare disease that required both of his kidneys resected at the age of seven months. The operation came to end his suffering as he underwent dialysis for 12 hours on a daily basis.
Jawad’s condition worsened in the few days that followed the surgery and he succumbed to the complications of the operation. He was announced dead at the French hospital on Tuesday.
Scores of people joined the boys’ relatives in the funeral yesterday and laid his small body to its last resting place in Karzakkan graveyard.
