Al Naeem crush Al Dair
Manama : Al Naeem Youth Centre crushed Al Dair Club 9-2 on the third day of the Round of 16 knockout matches in the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls (Khalid 5) at the Khalifa Sports City Hall in Isa Town.
The man of the match was adjudged as Al Naeem’s Ali Abdulhassan as his team qualified for the quarter finals.
In the second match, Jidhafs Youth Centre advanced to the quarter finals after coming from two goals down in the first half to edge out Hoora and Gudaibiya Youth Centre 3-2, with the man of the match being Hussain Al Qassab, which saw four yellow cards shown to players of both teams.
Attending the latest matches was Professor Riyadh Hamza, President of the University of Bahrain, who also visited the photo gallery organised on the sidelines of the league.
This tournament is being played under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities and organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under the slogan #Generations_Meeting.
It started on July 24 and continues until September 14 and features 59 teams, divided into 36 youth centres teams, 9 unregistered clubs, 8 teams of people with disabilities institutions and 6 girls teams.
