One-year academic programmes not reliable: Education Ministry
Manama : ‘The international one-year’ academic programmes are not trusted in Bahrain anymore as per a recent decision taken by educational authorities in the Kingdom.
This comes as Education Minister Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi issued Resolution 603 of 2017 to not trust the programmes that is being offered by a number of permitted foreign educational institutions in Bahrain.
Published in the Official Gazette on Thursday, the resolution stipulated that the ‘international one-year’ programmes, offering “preparatory programme” abroad shall not be reliable in Bahrain.
The resolution mentioned that the programme exempts students (citizens and residents) of the first academic year and enroll them directly into the second year in foreign higher educational institutions.
The resolution also said that it came as part of the recommendations of the National Committee for Qualifications Evaluation in March 9, 2017. It comes into effect starting today.
