Indians advance in Intermediate Open Tennis Tournament

Indian pairing of Baiju PV and Giby Peeshambaran comfortably defeated the Philippine pair of Romina Panganiban and Jessie Banzales 6-1, 6-1 as the first round of matches were completed in the Indian Club Ramadan Intermediate Open Tennis Tournament 2015 at its premises in Gudaibiya.
In another India-Philippine match-up, the Indian pair of Murali Akana and Karnan Pandi got the better Willy Lalma and Leo Alambra with a 6-2, 6-4 win and in an All-Filipino clash, Renato Sorreda and Nanzer Cepeda beat Ian Erojo and Viornel Segerra 6-2, 6-4.
Round two matches are now underway with the semi-finals and final set for next week, with the leading pairs fighting it out for the trophies and prizes.
