Warm welcome to Kerala Chief Minister

ManamaChief Minister of Indian state, Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan who arrived here on a three-day visit was accorded a warm welcome at the Gudaibiya Palace yesterday. Deputy King His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, received the Chief Minister at the palace.

Bahrain is keen on widening the cooperation with the state of Kerala, Deputy King assured the chief minister during the meeting. 

His Royal Highness praised the efforts of Bahrain’s and India’s private sectors, highlighting their strong bonds and continuous communication, and their efforts to explore new business opportunities which help to strengthen economic, trade and investment relations.

The Deputy King welcomed Pinarayi Vijayan’s visit to Bahrain, as it plays an important role in bolstering economic ties between the two countries. In this regard, Prince Salman recalled his visit to Kerala in 2013 and other visits to India, which resulted in the signing of a number of agreements that have benefited both countries.

In response, Pinarayi Vijayan expressed gratitude and appreciation for the opportunity to meet His Royal Highness. Vijayan went on to praise the warm welcome he received from Bahrain’s Indian community, reflecting the deep bilateral ties between the two countries. 

Prince Salman hosted a banquet honouring the visit of the CM of Kerala and his accompanying delegation.

The son of His Royal Highness the Deputy King, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman Al Khalifa, and a number of senior officials also attended the meeting.

Long history of unity

Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa also accorded a warm reception to Pinarayi Vijayan at the palace in Riffa. 

The Premier valued highly the role played by the Indian community in the Kingdom’s development process.

The Chief Minister of Kerala, in response, expressed pride in the care and support enjoyed by Indian expatriates in Bahrain.
