Leaders condemn Jau prison break

Manama : Several leaders of the Kingdom as well as GCC strongly condemned the terrorist attack on Jau Prison resulting in the death of a police officer.

Qatar strongly condemned the terrorist armed attack on Jau prison in Bahrain, while offering support to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

“Qatar reiterates its solidarity with Bahrain and backs all measures to confront such abominable acts and protect national security and stability,” the Qatar Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Shura Council of the Kingdom denounced in the strongest terms the heinous criminal assault which reflected the extent of the terrorist dangers facing the Kingdom.

“This terrorist act contravenes all ethical principles and religious values. I extend heartfelt condolences to the officer’s bereaved family and all citizens. All acts of violence and terror targeting policemen in an attempt to subvert Bahrain’s security and stability must be rejected, ” National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Commissioners’ Council member MP Khalid Al-Shaer said. 

Council of Representatives Speaker Al Mulla reiterated the readiness of the Parliament to provide all legislative means to support the security agencies in their dedicated efforts to maintain national stability and protect lives and properties.
