Bahrainis imprisoned for rioting
Manama: The High Criminal Court sentenced five persons accused of rioting to five years each behind bars, while three others involved in the same case were given more lenient three years imprisonment each as they are minors.
The defendants allegedly gathered in Hamala at night with firebombs and tyres. They reportedly set the tyres on fire to disrupt traffic flow.
Police officers managed to arrest four of the suspects from the scene.
The Bahrainis were charged with arson, participating in an illegal gathering and possessing firebombs.
