HIGH HEELS LADIES NIGHT

Venue: Al Riwaq Art Space

The solo exhibition of Bahraini artist Ahmed Annan is on display at Al Riwaq Art Space till 5 May. In Annan’s work, he proves that we hide what is beautiful and show what is ugly, only to occasionally discover beauty in the ugliness and ugliness in the beauty. Concealing and revealing is not only a phenomenon but a process in every aspect of our life, behaviour, religion, trade, politics, culture and art.

MOVIE NIGHT : THE NUTCRACKER

Time : 6.30pm

Venue: La Fontaine Centre of Contemporary Art

The Nutcracker, a classic Christmas story, is a fairytale ballet on a family’s Christmas eve celebration, originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. It tells the story of   a young girl Clara who dreams of a Nutcracker Prince and a fierce battle against a Mouse King with 7 heads. The film is known for its beautiful music and fabulous  setup at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow. 

AHMED ANNAN SOLO EXHIBITION

BAHRAIN ANNUAL HERITAGE FESTIVAL

Time :  On going till 21 April, 4pm to 9pm

Venue: Bahrain National Museum

Bahrain Heritage Festival has gained worldwide reputation since its launch in 1992. This year the Heritage Festival  which is in its 24th edition is   titled under “Rhythms of Bahrain”. The festival offers a chance to see some of Bahrain’s finest craftsmen at work- basket weaving, pottery, handicrafts etc. Visitors, locally and internationally, are dazzled every year with exhibits relating to Bahrain’s tradition and culture and the distinctiveness of Bahrain’s music and folk-dance, flavours of the kingdom.
