Bahraini teens jailed for attacking cops
Manama : Six Bahraini teenagers who attacked a police armoured vehicle were sentenced to five years each in prison.
They were also ordered to pay a total of BD1600 for the damages they caused to the vehicle.
The attack occurred on February 19 last year, when the defendants pelted the vehicle with firebombs.
Two cops who were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident were injured.
The teenagers were put on trial after police investigations confirmed their involvement in the incident.
The defendants’ are under 18 years, and they were charged with participating in an illegal gathering, attacking police officers, causing damages to a public property and possessing firebombs.
