ILA to hold fashion show of Indian sarees
Manama : The Indian Ladies’ Association (ILA) has announced its first event for the club’s Diamond Jubilee Year: Nazakat-e-Hind, a fashion show of Indian sarees.
The fashion show will be held under the patronage of Shaikha Thajba bint Salman Al Khalifa at the Downtown Rotana on April 16 at 6pm.
The event will showcase the culture and ethnicity of India with special emphasis on the country’s most traditional women’s attire – the saree.
Nazakat-e-Hind will showcase different kinds of sarees, the various forms it takes across the regions of the country as well as the graciousness that emerges from the women who adorn them.
There will be a select audience of distinguished women from the local and international communities on the island along with ILA members and guests.
The models will be handpicked from among the ILA’s fashion-forward members.
