HRH Premier issues edicts 14, 15/2016

Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today issued Edict 14/2016 on re-structuring the National Committee to Combat Non-Communicable Chronic Diseases, under the chairmanship of the Health Minister.

Members included representatives of the Health Promotion and General Health directorates at the Ministry of Health, Medical Services at the Bahrain Defence Force, the King Hamad University Hospital, the Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry and the Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry.

The panel also comprises representatives from the Education Ministry, the Information Affairs Authority, the Supreme Council for the Environment, the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiac Centre, the Youth and Sport Affairs Ministry, the Bahrain Diabetes Society, the Bahrain Anti-Smoking Society and the Bahrain Cancer Society as members for a renewable three-year term.

HRH Premier also issued Edict 15/2016, on re-structuring the Academic Accreditation Committee, under the chairmanship of the Deputy President of the University of Bahrain (UoB) Dr. Waheeb Isa Al-Nasser.

Members include the CEO of the National Health Regulatory Authority CEO Dr. Mariam Adhbi Al Jalahma, Director of Scientific Research at the Ministry of Education, Director Accreditation and Licensing at the Ministry of Education, Committee For Organising Engineering Professional Practice ABdulmajeed Bashir Al-Qassab, Dr. Tajuddin Othman Mohyiddin (UoB), Dr. Mohammed Fathallah Al-Dahmani (UoB), Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari (UoB), Dr. Sadiq Mahdi Al-Alawi (UoB), Dr. Amel Joseph Aqila (Arabian Gulf University) and a representative of the National Authority of Qualifications and Quality Assurance for Education and Training (QQA).

Members will serve for renewable two-year terms.
