Legislative Authority Committed to Updating Legal Frameworks to Keep Pace with Evolving Education Methods

The Services Committee at the Shura Council, chaired by Her Excellency Dr. Jamila Mohammed Redha Al Salman, has affirmed that the royal message delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, on the occasion of the start of the new 2026-2027 academic year reflects the steadfast royal اهتمام accorded to the education sector.

The committee said the Royal message reflects a deep belief that education is the foundation upon which societies are built and through which nations advance and prosper. It added that His Majesty’s annual message to students at the beginning of each new academic year underscores that investing in people and their education remains a firm national approach and a cornerstone of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s achievements.

The committee highlighted His Majesty’s praise for the efforts of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which contributed to ensuring the continuity of the educational process during the exceptional circumstances experienced by the Kingdom as a result of the Iranian attacks.

It said the recognition serves as an incentive for all stakeholders to continue developing the legislative and executive frameworks that help safeguard students’ educational attainment and ensure that their educational journeys remain uninterrupted.

The committee noted that the flexibility demonstrated by the education sector in responding to exceptional circumstances, including the use of technological tools to maintain educational continuity, highlights the importance of further developing educational plans and strategies to keep pace with rapid developments in technology and knowledge.

It said these efforts also strengthen the readiness of the education system to respond to future requirements.

The Services Committee affirmed its continued commitment to developing education-related legislation in a manner that contributes to improving the quality and outcomes of education, consolidating digital transformation and establishing legal frameworks capable of keeping pace with developments in teaching methods and the requirements of national development.

The committee also praised the high level of national responsibility demonstrated by educational institutions and their administrative, teaching and technical staff, as well as the awareness, discipline and sense of responsibility shown by students during the exceptional circumstances experienced by Bahrain.

It expressed its appreciation for the efforts made by all those involved in supporting the educational process and strengthening its sustainability, while continuing to build a conscious and qualified generation equipped with the knowledge, skills and capabilities needed to contribute effectively to Bahrain’s ongoing development and achievements.
