Civil Defence Graduates Volunteer Firefighters
The programme concluded in the presence of Brigadier Pilot Ali Mohammed Al Kubaisi, Director-General of the General Directorate of Civil Defence, who praised participants for their commitment throughout the course. He said training qualified volunteers in firefighting, rescue and first aid reinforces community partnership and enhances emergency preparedness and response.
Al Kubaisi encouraged graduates to apply the knowledge and skills they gained in serving the community while adhering to operational guidelines. He also commended the officers and instructors at the Civil Defence School for their efforts in ensuring the programme's success.
The training included theoretical lessons and practical exercises covering firefighting, rescue operations, first aid, hazardous materials response, the use of firefighting and rescue equipment, breathing apparatus, and simulated emergency scenarios to improve participants' readiness to respond to various emergencies.
