Capital Governor Visits Summer Programme

Capital Governor Sheikh Khalid bin Hamood Al Khalifa visited the summer programme organised by Umm Al Hassam Sports Club in cooperation with the Capital Governorate. He was received by Dr. Hisham Al Bannai, Chairman of the Board of Umm Al Hassam Sports Club, along with several board members.

During the visit, the Governor reviewed the programme's diverse activities, which combine sports, cultural, educational and recreational elements. He also received a briefing on the programme's objectives and the initiatives it offers to develop participants' skills, enhance their abilities and make productive use of their time.

Sheikh Khalid bin Hamood Al Khalifa said the Capital Governorate places great importance on supporting partnerships with civil society institutions and national sports clubs, reflecting its belief in the importance of investing in children and young people. He said providing high-quality programmes helps refine skills, develop capabilities and strengthen the values of responsibility, belonging, initiative and teamwork in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain's vision of preparing informed generations capable of contributing effectively to the nation's comprehensive development.

He added that summer programmes provide an important platform for discovering talent, developing potential and promoting sporting, cultural and behavioural development. He also praised Umm Al Hassam Sports Club for organising purposeful community programmes that encourage the positive use of free time and reinforce community partnerships.

For his part, Dr. Hisham Al Bannai expressed his sincere appreciation to Sheikh Khalid bin Hamood Al Khalifa for the fruitful cooperation and continued support for the club's programmes and activities. He said the collaboration reflects the Capital Governorate's commitment to strengthening community partnerships and serves as motivation to continue delivering quality initiatives and programmes that help identify and develop talent.
