Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, highlighted the role of the Career World platform, part of Skills Bahrain and an initiative of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen), which is participating for the first time in the 15th edition of Youth City 2030, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs in cooperation with its strategic partner, Tamkeen, at Exhibition World Bahrain.
The Youth Minister commended the platform's guidance and advisory services, which help young people explore available educational and career pathways and enable them to make informed decisions about their professional future.
Minister Tawfeeqi said Career World's participation represents a valuable addition to the programmes offered at Youth City 2030, providing information on careers and in-demand skills based on labour market data, helping young people better understand the opportunities available to them and align their interests and abilities with the needs of various economic sectors.
She also commended the platform's interactive activities and career guidance sessions for students and parents, which provide information and guidance on educational and career options and explain how to use the platform and benefit from the data and information it provides.
The Youth Minister said such initiatives support the objectives of Youth City 2030 by empowering Bahraini youth, developing their capabilities and enhancing their readiness for the labour market through programmes that combine practical training with career guidance, contributing to the development of a generation capable of making informed decisions based on a realistic understanding of labour market trends and requirements.
Minister Tawfeeqi also highlighted Tamkeen's efforts to invest in national talent from an early stage and strengthen the future readiness of Bahraini youth, supporting their contribution to Bahrain's economic development.
