Joint Drill Reinforces Gulf Security
His Majesty the King Attends ‘Bahrain Shield’ Joint Military Exercise

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, attended the joint military exercise “Bahrain Shield” on Thursday.
The exercise was also attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the United Arab Emirates.
The exercise brought together personnel from the Mohammed bin Zayed Squadron, members of the armed forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, the Peninsula Shield Force, and participants from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It aims to strengthen joint military cooperation, enhance operational coordination, and facilitate the exchange of expertise among participating forces.
Addressing the gathering, His Majesty welcomed the distinguished guests to the Kingdom of Bahrain, highlighting the deep bonds of brotherhood and solidarity that unite the GCC countries.
He said Bahrain values the unwavering support shared among Gulf nations in every circumstance, reflecting their enduring unity, mutual respect, and collective commitment to achieving prosperity and security for all.
His Majesty also praised the Gulf Cooperation Council’s achievements over the years, describing it as a successful model of regional cooperation. He noted that the “Bahrain Shield” exercise represents a practical extension of GCC efforts to strengthen collective security and further develop the region’s integrated defence and joint deterrence capabilities.
