HRH Crown Prince Highlights Bahrain’s Heritage and Cultural Legacy

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has highlighted the importance of preserving Bahrain’s rich cultural and historical heritage, describing it as a key pillar of the Kingdom’s comprehensive development and an important part of its national identity.

During a meeting with His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA), at Riffa Palace, His Royal Highness emphasised Bahrain’s distinctive civilisational legacy and its wealth of historical and archaeological sites.

His Royal Highness noted that Bahrain’s cultural and archaeological heritage continues to strengthen the Kingdom’s standing at regional and international levels. He stressed the need for continued efforts to protect, develop and promote these national assets, ensuring that Bahrain’s heritage remains an important part of the Kingdom’s future development.

The Crown Prince and Prime Minister commended the efforts of BACA and its personnel in preserving Bahrain’s cultural heritage and promoting the Kingdom’s cultural identity. He also highlighted Bahrain’s active participation in cultural events and initiatives at both the regional and international levels, which contribute to showcasing the Kingdom’s history, traditions and achievements to audiences around the world.

His Royal Highness praised the dedication of Bahrain’s national workforce in advancing the Kingdom’s cultural and heritage profile internationally. He expressed his best wishes to BACA for continued success in developing cultural initiatives and further strengthening Bahrain’s recognised position as a destination for heritage, culture and history.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of maintaining strong national efforts to ensure that Bahrain’s historical and archaeological assets continue to serve future generations while contributing to the Kingdom’s broader cultural and developmental ambitions.

For his part, Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa expressed his gratitude and appreciation to His Royal Highness for his continued support and encouragement of BACA’s work. He emphasised that this support plays an important role in enabling the Authority to pursue further cultural achievements that reflect Bahrain’s deep-rooted civilisational and cultural heritage.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court; His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki, Minister of Cabinet Affairs; and several senior officials.
