SCE Launches Digital Licensing Service for Refrigerant Gas Refilling Centres

The Supreme Council for the Environment (SCE) has launched a new digital service for licensing refrigerant gas refilling centres as part of Bahrain's ongoing government initiative to improve and re-engineer the quality of public services.

The new "Refrigerant Gas Refilling Centres Licensing Application" enables businesses to apply online for approval to operate refrigerant gas refilling centres recognised by the SCE. The service ensures that applicants meet all required environmental and technical standards before licences are issued.

As part of the licensing process, the SCE evaluates each proposed centre's technical specifications, equipment, operational procedures, and safety and emergency plans to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety requirements.

The upgraded service has reduced the processing time from 20 working days to 15 working days through complete digital automation, fewer application steps, and simplified licensing procedures. Improvements to the user interface and overall customer experience are also expected to make transactions faster and more efficient.
