Eight Bahraini athletes to compete in Jordan next month
The Ahmed Al Ahmad Karate Centre has finalized preparations for the 2026 Asian Cadet, Junior and Under-21 Karate Championships, which will be held in Jordan from September 7 to 11.
Bahrain will be represented by eight athletes: Dana Mohammed Fazi (Under-21, Under 75kg), Mohammed Ahmed (Under-21, Under 75kg), Mohammed Hamid Faraj (Cadet Under-17), Mohammed Nabil (Under-21, Under 60kg), Abdullah Fawaz Al Marbati (Under-17, Under 58kg), Abdulghaffar Al Marbati (Under-15, Over 70kg), Zakariya Mohammed Shuwaiter (Under-16, Under 50kg), and Waleed Waheeb Al Nasser (Under-15, Under 50kg).
Following an intensive training programme led by international coach Ahmed Abdulkarim, the team heads to the continental championship aiming to deliver strong performances, gain valuable international experience, and proudly represent Bahrain against Asia's top young karate athletes.
