Minister holds bilateral meetings on HLPF 2026 sidelines
Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board, Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, held a series of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF 2026) in New York.
The meetings took place as Bahrain presented its Third Voluntary National Review (VNR), outlining the Kingdom's progress toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Alkhulaif met with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal bin Fadel Alibrahim, Egypt's Minister of Planning Dr. Ahmed Rostom, and Lebanon's Minister of Information Dr. Paul Morcos. Talks focused on strengthening bilateral ties and sharing expertise in sustainable development.
The minister congratulated Saudi Arabia and Egypt on presenting their own VNRs, praising their national achievements under the 2030 Agenda.
Alkhulaif also met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Li Junhua, exploring opportunities to deepen cooperation with international bodies.
