Space Agency Wins Global Diversity Award

BSA Recognised by International Astronautical Federation for Inclusion Efforts in Space Sector

The Bahrain Space Agency (BSA) has been awarded the IAF 2025 Diversity Supporter certificate by the International Astronautical Federation (IAF), recognising its commitment to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities in the space sector.

BSA Chief Executive Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al Aseeri said the certificate reflects international acknowledgement of the agency's efforts to build an environment that supports innovation and creativity. He added that the honour will strengthen the agency's drive to empower youth and women in space, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), in line with Bahrain's sustainable development goals.

Dr. Al Aseeri said the recognition will support the ongoing development of policies and initiatives to deepen diversity and expand cooperation with local and international partners, advancing Bahrain's vision of a knowledge- and innovation-based economy.

The agency continues to roll out programmes aimed at building national capabilities and human capital, while reinforcing its presence in international space forums.
