Bahraini Woman Dies in Saudi Bus Accident
An official source at the embassy confirmed that the accident resulted in the death of a Bahraini woman and injuries to three citizens. The injured individuals are reported to be in stable condition and are receiving the necessary medical care. The embassy is providing consular support and working to complete procedures, including facilitating their return to Bahrain.
In a separate incident, a vehicle carrying a seven-member Bahraini family was involved in a traffic accident in Hawtat Bani Tamim, located about 160 kilometres south of Riyadh. The accident resulted in the death of a child, while the remaining family members are receiving treatment at Hawtat Bani Tamim Hospital. The embassy continues to coordinate with Saudi authorities to follow up on their condition and related procedures.
The earlier bus accident involved 18 passengers travelling from Makkah to Madinah. Two of the injured citizens remain under treatment at King Fahd Hospital in Madinah, accompanied by their mothers, while 13 Bahraini citizens are preparing to return to the Kingdom.
