Government Hospitals Win Top Arab Healthcare Honour
Holistic Role Model certification awarded at seventh Gold Initiative cycle
Bahrain's Government Hospitals have been awarded the Holistic Role Model Certificate by the Arab Hospitals Federation, securing the distinction during the seventh cycle of the Gold Initiative Certificate programme in recognition of excellence across institutional quality, patient safety, innovation, and sustainability.
The achievement reflects the hospitals' participation across six key programme categories — governance, healthcare quality, patient safety, risk management, innovation, sustainability, and national talent development — earning one of the federation's highest institutional accolades.
CEO Dr. Mariam Athbi Al Jalahmah said the recognition reflects Bahrain's sustained commitment to healthcare excellence and the dedication of its national workforce. She described the award as a product of collective effort built on quality, governance, and patient-centred care.
Dr. Al Jalahmah added the honour will drive further adoption of global best practices, reinforcing Bahrain's standing as a regional model for healthcare quality.
