Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa chaired the 309th meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Development Projects and Infrastructure, where members reviewed key national projects and infrastructure initiatives.
The committee praised cooperation between government service entities and municipal councils, while highlighting progress in the Bahrain Smart Cities Conference 2026 and the development of roads leading to Bahrain International Airport. It also reviewed the operation of 42 new smart parking meters in the Diplomatic Area and directed an assessment to expand the initiative to other areas across the Kingdom.
