OIC Union Elects Bahrain’s Al Sisi Al Buainain to Leadership Post

Bahrain has strengthened its parliamentary presence on the regional and international stage following the unanimous election of Eng. Mohammed Ebrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives, as Vice President of the Association of Secretaries General of the Union of Councils of Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), along with membership in its Bureau.
The election took place during the 20th Conference of the Union of Councils of OIC Member States, held in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Commenting on his election, Al Sisi Al Buainain said the outcome reflects strong confidence in Bahrain’s parliamentary expertise and its role in advancing cooperation among Islamic parliaments.
Leadership praised
He extended congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, noting that Bahrain’s progress continues under their comprehensive development vision.
He also highlighted the role of Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallem, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, praising his guidance in enhancing Bahrain’s participation in international parliamentary forums.
