Southern Governorate Launches 7th Youth Security Programme

The Southern Governorate has announced the opening of registration for the seventh edition of the Governor’s Security and Social Programme, a summer initiative dedicated to adolescents and young people, reflecting the continued commitment of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, to enhancing security and social awareness among youth.

The programme, delivered in collaboration with several security departments of the Ministry of Interior and civil society organisations, highlights a model of community partnership aimed at building informed and responsible young participants.

Registration will be open from June 22 to June 28 via the “Aljunobya” mobile application. The programme itself will run from June 30 to July 15, featuring a series of virtual lectures and workshops delivered through video conferencing platforms.

Sessions will cover key topics including personal security, cyber safety, and community awareness, with the goal of equipping participants with the skills needed to respond to modern security challenges and strengthen their social and behavioural capabilities.

The programme targets boys and girls aged 12 to 15 and involves participation from multiple entities, including the General Directorate of Traffic, General Directorate of Civil Defence, Community Police Department at the Southern Governorate Police Directorate, General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science, the National Ambulance Centre, the “Together” Anti-Violence and Addiction Programme, as well as Al-Mabarrah Al-Khalifia Foundation.
