HRH prime minister praises voluntary work initiatives

Manama

Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has expressed pride in the local and regional appreciation of Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa’s initiatives, which, he said, has had positive impacts and promoted noble social values among Arab communities.

Commenting on the recent honouring of Shaikh Isa in Egypt in recognition of his efforts in the field of voluntary work, HRH Premier said the honouring is a source of pride as it reflects the Bahraini youth’s interest in charitable and voluntary work, which is basic for building a perfect society.

Prince Khalifa made the statements as he received Shaikh Isa here yesterday following his honouring by the Egyptian Association for Voluntary Work in appreciation for his tremendous efforts in developing Arab charitable and voluntary work, during a ceremony held at Arab League headquarters as part of the 10th Conference for Voluntary Work and Community
Service.

HRH the Prime Minister reiterated the government’s keen interest to achieve social security by launching policies and legislation that stimulate development through partnership between the private and the public sector, which, he said, supports voluntary work.

The Premier lauded the importance of the Award for Voluntary Work which, he affirmed, has become a key Arab event par excellence, and among the major functions at the Arab level, re-affirming the government’s support to such humanitarian initiatives that contribute to highlighting the milestones of Arab communities and motivate people to volunteer and be devoted in serving others.
