Zainab Abbas Ahmed, a sixth-grade student at Karrana Primary Girls’ School in Bahrain, has developed a growing talent in dramatic, theatrical, and cinematic makeup arts. Her journey began in early primary school, and she has since advanced her skills through continuous practice, self-learning, and strong support from her school and family.
Zainab’s story highlights the importance of nurturing creative talent at an early age within schools. Supported by the Ministry of Education’s focus on empowering student creativity in public schools, her progress reflects how structured encouragement and access to resources can help young students transform hobbies into potential future careers in the arts.
Her interest in makeup artistry began in Grade One, when she started experimenting with simple face painting and basic artistic designs. Over time, her interest developed into a deeper passion for realistic and expressive makeup styles, particularly in dramatic and cinematic effects.
The school played a significant role in her development, providing guidance, materials, and opportunities to showcase her work during school events. This environment allowed her to refine her skills and gain confidence in her artistic abilities.
She continues to develop her skills through practice and learning, balancing her studies with her artistic interests. Her work has already gained attention within her school community, which has given her opportunities to participate in creative activities and school productions.
Dramatic and cinematic makeup is a specialized field often used in theatre, film, and television to create character transformations and visual storytelling effects. For a student at primary level, developing such skills early demonstrates both artistic potential and strong creative discipline.
Her aspirations extend beyond school activities, as she hopes to one day have her name credited in major film, theatre, and television productions. She also expressed interest in using her skills in charitable and community-based initiatives, combining art with social impact.
With continued support and dedication, Zainab Abbas Ahmed represents a new generation of young Bahraini creatives whose talents are being shaped early, pointing toward a promising future in the region’s artistic and cultural industries.
