Bahrain Interior Ministry Showcases Security Services at Malaysia Grand Prix

The Ministry of Interior pavilion attracted visitors during activities accompanying the 2026 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia, showcasing Bahrain’s security services, initiatives and public awareness programmes.

Represented by the Public Relations Directorate, the ministry highlighted the development of police work in the Kingdom through a model of the Police Fort and publications documenting the history of Bahrain Police.

The General Directorate of Civil Defence presented the National Civil Protection Platform, highlighting its safety information and emergency preparedness services.

The General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing showcased Bahrain’s experience in alternative sentencing and the Open Prisons Programme, including its objectives, programmes, initiatives, outcomes and products made by beneficiaries.

Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs presented modern services and technologies, including e-passport services, visa application procedures and electronic services for citizens, residents and visitors.

The Child Protection Unit in Cyberspace, under the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, highlighted online risks facing children and measures aimed at protecting them from cybercrime and other digital threats.

Community Police presented the Maan (Together) Programme Against Violence and Addiction, along with awareness programmes for students focused on preventing violence, addiction and negative behaviours.

The Protocol and VIP Protection Directorate displayed historic police uniforms, while the Special Security Force, Operations Directorate and Telecommunications Directorate showcased logistical and technical capabilities.

The Police Band also performed national musical pieces, adding to the pavilion’s programme, while the General Directorate of Media and Security Culture provided coverage of the participating directorates and their activities.

The ministry’s participation highlights Bahrain’s experience in developing police work, adopting modern technologies and advancing security and public services before an international audience.
