PM Journalism Award Marks 10 Years
“Prime Minister’s Journalism Award” continues to stand as one of the Kingdom’s most prominent initiatives dedicated to recognising journalists, media professionals, and young media talents for their contributions to the national press sector.
Since its launch in 2016, the award has played a key role in encouraging Bahraini journalists to produce distinguished content that reflects the Kingdom’s achievements across various sectors while covering developments and challenges with professionalism, objectivity, and national responsibility.
The award is considered a reflection of the strong support extended to the media sector under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, whose development vision has reinforced the principles of freedom of opinion and expression and strengthened the media's role as a partner in Bahrain’s national development journey.
It also highlights the continued support provided by HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown prince and Prime Minister for Bahrain’s national press sector. The award reflects his belief in the importance of media as an active partner in development and modernization efforts, as well as its role in promoting national awareness and professional responsibility.
Over the past decade, the award has recognised distinguished journalists and media professionals whose work has contributed to raising the standards of Bahraini journalism and strengthening its position as a trusted platform for delivering the national message with credibility and professionalism.
The initiative also forms part of the wider efforts of “Team Bahrain” in supporting the Kingdom’s comprehensive development goals and encouraging excellence in the media landscape.
