Bahraini MPs strongly condemned recent drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, describing them as a threat to Gulf security and a violation of international law.

The statements came after Saudi Arabia intercepted three drones entering its airspace from Iraq, while the UAE reported a drone-related fire outside the inner perimeter of the Barakah nuclear power plant in Al Dhafra.

MP Waleed Al Doseri, a member of Parliament’s Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee, described the attacks as a “dangerous escalation” threatening regional stability and breaching international law and principles of good neighbourliness.

He stressed that Gulf states' security was interconnected, calling for a firm international stance against hostile and terrorist acts targeting the region.

Fellow committee member Maryam Al Sayegh said the attacks were “hostile and terrorist acts” posing a direct threat to the stability of Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

She reaffirmed Bahrain’s support for both countries and said GCC security remained “one indivisible whole”.

Meanwhile, MP Abdulla Al Dhaen condemned the attacks as “cowardly terrorist acts”, saying the targeting of civilian and strategic sites represented a clear violation of state sovereignty and regional security.

He affirmed Parliament’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia and the UAE against any threats to their stability and the safety of citizens and residents.
