Bahrain Condemns Drone Attack on UAE’s Barakah Nuclear Plant

Bahrain has strongly condemned the terrorist drone attack targeting the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the Al Dhafra Region, which caused a fire along the facility’s perimeter.

In a statement, Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as a serious violation of international law, the UN Charter, principles of good neighbourliness, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

The ministry praised the swift response of the UAE Air Defence Forces for implementing precautionary measures that ensured no casualties and no impact on radiological safety levels at the plant.

Bahrain also reaffirmed its full solidarity with the United Arab Emirates and expressed support for all measures taken to protect the country’s security, sovereignty, and critical infrastructure.

The statement further stressed the importance of strengthening regional and international cooperation to safeguard civilians and vital facilities while supporting regional and global stability.
