Bahrain’s Capital Governor Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa said the “Bahrain Marina” project would become a major new landmark for the kingdom, enhancing the urban and architectural landscape of the capital while strengthening Bahrain’s appeal as a family tourism destination.
During a visit to the project site on Thursday, the governor reviewed progress across the development’s facilities and integrated waterfront features, describing the marina as a significant addition to Manama's eastern seafront.
He said the project reflects Bahrain’s continuing development across the investment, entertainment and commercial sectors, adding that it highlights the kingdom’s broader urban transformation under the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
He added that the Capital Governorate remained committed to supporting initiatives that promote sustainable development and improve public services and facilities for citizens, residents and visitors alike.
Riyadh Sater, chairman of Bahrain Marina Development Company, welcomed the governor’s visit, saying it represented strong support for national projects aimed at developing Manama’s waterfront and advancing Bahrain’s real estate and leisure sectors.
He added that the kingdom’s property and entertainment industries were witnessing rapid growth, driven by ambitious development projects across Bahrain.
